FINAL PRE-SEASON RUN-OUT

Penzance play their sixth and final pre-season warm-up match when Perranwell visit Penlee Park tonight (kick-off 7pm).

The Magpies will be looking to bounce back after a bruising defeat in Saturday’s derby at St Just. The main team news is that goalkeeper Mikey Flores, having had to retire injured in the last two fixtures, is rested to give himself the best possible chance of being fit for the season’s opener at St Blazey on Saturday. Having impressed for the Reserves in recent weeks, young custodian Adrian Murley is therefore handed a first team opportunity.

Sam Buckley, top scorer in pre-season, is also absent having received a knock a Lafrowda Park, but Archie Reynolds, Cam McCabe, Robertas Samnauskas and Kam Collins all return.

Looking back on the summer Joint Manager John McCallum reflects: “Overall, pre-season has been really good. We are delighted with everyone’s attitude, and performances have been good generally.”

Admission is just £2 (£1 for concessions) - Season Tickets holders go free.

A full matchday programme will be on sale for just £1. 50, and the Jewson Bar will be open from 6pm.

See you down there!
