FOOTBALL FEAST TODAY AT PENLEE !

There will be a veritable football feast at Penlee Park this afternoon with a chance to watch both the first team and the reserves.

The action starts at 2pm when the firsts play their second friendly of the summer. The opponents will be Porthleven who played their last ever Peninsula League game at our ground, on 7th September last year, before circumstances forced them to quit the competition. Happily the Fishermen regrouped successfully in the St Piran League and ended the season on a massive high by lifting the League Cup with a thrilling win over Truro City Reserves in the final at Wendron. Jamie Webb’s team will certainly provide a stern test for the Magpies in what should be an intriguing encounter.

And, if that is not enough for you, why not stay on to watch the reserves take on Lanner at 5pm. This will be a first match in charge for new managers Lee Major and Daz Smith who have been busy signing a group of exciting young players.

Admission is just £2 (£1 for concessions) and covers both games. Season Tickets holders go free – season tickets will be on sale in the club from 10am onwards, or at the gate. The bar will be open from 2pm. See you all down there!
