BRIDGERS IN TOWN FOR SENIOR CUP


If you are looking to enjoy some fresh air tonight before Storm Agnes drives us all underground on Wednesday, there is Cup action tonight at Penlee Park. Wadebridge Town visit for a First Round tie in the Ward Williams Cornwall Senior Cup (kick-off 7.45pm).


The Bridgers have made a solid start to the season and currently sit two places above the Magpies in the table. On Saturday they lost narrowly to Step Five side Torpoint Athletic in the FA Vase, and manager Paul Rowe will select his team from Rob Rosevear, Tom Harris, Sam Hepworth, Brad Rowe, Steve Simmonds, Lewis Webber, Chris Reski, Greg Eastman, Morgan Vallejo, Matt Lloyd, Jacob Rowe, Rhys Hooper, Cam Bidgood, Matt Lloyd, Haiden Chapman, Sam Gerken and Sam Wickins.


Penzance will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat at Callington Town. Experienced performers Kevin Lawrence and Mark Vercesi are both still absent through injury and holidays respectively. Alfie Hicks returns whilst Lewis Hitchens and Luke Johnson are called into a squad that also includes Mikey Flores, Archie Reynolds, Alfie Turner, Frazer Cadman, Silas Sullivan, Tyler Tonkin, Ollie Butler, Charlie Willis, Jacob Trudgeon, Rolandos Samnauskas, Kam Collins, Oscar Massey, Dylan Walter, Freddie Neaum and Michael Fitchett.


Despite it being a Cup tie Season Tickets are valid for this match. If you are paying on the night, admission is £5 (concessions £3). Drinks and refreshments, including hot pasties, will be available from the Black & White Cafe inside the ground. The Jewson Bar will be open from about 6pm and a full matchday programme with be available for £1.50.


Finally, the match will be played to a finish with extra-time and penalties if necessary, so come prepared for a long night!
