Penzance's Disability sides contested the penultimate tournament of the season at Camborne College on Sunday morning.
The Premiership side, the reigning champions, contested four matches of which three turned out to be thrillers. In the opener they lead table-topping Dropship 3-1 in the closing stages thanks to a Connor Thomas hat-trick before succumbing by the odd goal in seven. The second match was the blip - a 0-5 reverse to second-placed Saltash United before revenge was earned over Dropship in third. Matt Vidler fired the Magpies into an early lead. The Rosudgeon side levelled twice but on each occasion Thomas restored Penzance's lead to secure a 3-2 win.
The final match, against Saltash, was equally tight. The Ashes took an early lead before Conor Allen and Thomas, with his sixth goal of the day, turned things around. Saltash though struck back to edge it 3-2.
The Championship side (pictured) started with 0-4 defeats against both Celtic Ability and Saltash United. Through Coby Wear, they managed to get on the score sheet in the final fixture, but we're beaten 1-4 by St Agnes.
