JEWSON DAY AT PENLEE PARK

Penzance will be looking to put on a good performance when the club welcomes its main sponsor, Jewson, and a host of the company’s invited guests, to Penlee Park this afternoon. Callington Town will provide the opposition for a league fixture that kicks off at 3pm.

A fortnight without a game has given the Magpies the chance to build the squad back to almost full strength with player-coach Kevin Lawrence returning after injury and Sam Payne promoted from the reserves. Mikey Flores is the only notable absentee, and is replaced in goal by Will Trenoweth. The full squad is: Trenoweth, Archie Reynolds, Cam McCabe, Tyler Dayus, Ryan Andrew, Tyler Tonkin (captain), Silas Sullivan, Kizzy Snowden, Jacob Trudgeon, Jordan Daniell, Max Everard, Lawrence, Rolandos Samnauskas, Darryl Richards, Haidar Fadli, Obinna Abuka and Payne.

Callington have an identical playing record to Penzance, albeit a better goal difference, so a tight game is predicted. Their manager Shaun Vincent names a squad of: Steve France, Paul Robinson, Jordan Powell, Billy McGowan, Harry Eaton, Scott Blatchford, Lewis Phillips, Bentley Alcantara, Ben Waters, Rio Daly, Sam Rutter, Marley Krac, Lee Rundle, Matt Edwards, Jack Tribble, Ian Thomas, Joe Carey, Ray Card, Jamie Willmott.

Admission is just £5 (£3 for concessions). Drinks and refreshments will be available from both the Jewson Bar and, within the ground which will open at 2.30pm, the tea hut. A full printed matchday programme will be on sale for £1.50 in the bar from about 1pm, and at the gate and tea hut.

See you down there!
