MAGPIES LOOK TO RETURN TO WINNING WAYS

Penzance will be defending a one hundred percent home record in the league when Sticker visit this afternoon (kick-off 3pm). They will however be looking to reverse a recent dip in form that sees them winless in three matches.

With the cricket and holiday season now over, manager Ashley Waters is able to call upon a pretty much full strength squad and names his sixteen as: Mikey Flores, Archie Reynolds, Mark Vercesi, Tyler Tonkin, Alfie Turner, Charlie Willis, Kevin Lawrence, Frazer Cadman, Kam Collins, Alfie Hicks, Ollie Butler, Rolandos Samnauskas, Michael Fitchett, Oscar Massey, Jacob Trudgeon and Silas Sullivan.

“After last week’s performance in the heat it is important we quickly move on and get a result today,” says Waters referencing the 0-2 defeat at Holsworthy. “Last Saturday the players and ourselves were disappointed by the performance. We dominated possession but lacked creativity in the final third. Today will be about showing character as individuals and a team, and focussing on getting three points.”

Both matches against Sticker last season were highly entertaining with the sides battling out a 2-2 draw at Penlee Park before Penzance, inspired by a Samnauskas hat-trick, recovered from two down to win 5-3 at Burngallow. For today's game, Sticker boss Steve Flack names a squad comprising of: Ethan Elwell, Mickey Rowles-Jane, Jowan Hooper, Lewis Clapham, Keelan England, Aaron Taylor, Jake Nancarrow, Ollie Hutchinson, Alex Hamley, Dan Hocking, Isaac Varga, Ogheneovo Ememerurai, Sonny Dover, Josh Margetts, Archie Ward, Owen Rosevear and Alex Johnson.

Admission is £5 (concessions £3). Drinks and refreshments, including hot pasties, will be available from the Black & White Cafe inside the ground.

The Jewson Bar will be open at lunchtime with Wolves v Liverpool on the big screen from 12.45pm. A full matchday programme with be available for £1.50.

See you there!
