MAGPIES SEEK QUARTER-FINAL TICKET

Penzance return to action tonight after a ten day break when St Dennis visit Penlee Park in the Second Round of the Cornwall Senior Cup (7.30pm kick-off).

With home advantage against a side two places below them in the table, the Magpies will see the match as an excellent opportunity to progress to the Quarter-Finals and a possible tie against one of the county’s big guns. However, St Dennis have already won at Penzance in the league this season and will provide the sternest of tests in what will be a fascinating match-up.

Home captain Tyler Tonkin returns after injury and Jordan Daniell from a three match absence. They are joined in a seventeen man squad by Will Trenoweth, Archie Reynolds (the season’s only ever-present to date), Ryan Andrew, Liam Andrew, Mark Vercesi, Cam McCabe, Max Everard, Silas Sullivan, Kevin Lawrence, Kam Collins, Darryl Richards, Rolandos Samnauskas, Jacob Trudgeon, Haidar Fadli and Obinna Abuka.

St Dennis manager Simon Minett has named a squad comprising of: Ryan Holland, Ash Taylor, Jake McLean, Mikey Davies, Jack Caron, Tyler Trudgeon, Phil Wearing, Riess Blair, Billy Coton, Ricky Coton, Ryan Oxley, Aiden James, Andre Rodukov. David Rickard Junior, Josh Pope and Sam Mellor.

Admission is just £5 (£3 for concessions) and drinks and refreshments will be available from both the bar (which will be open around 6pm) and tea hut. A full printed matchday programme will be on sale for £1.50.

The tie will be played to a finish with extra-time and penalties if required – so wrap up warm – it could be a long and exciting evening!
