MORE ACTION AT PENLEE PARK TONIGHT...

Hot on the heels of last night’s well-supported First Team Friendly, the Reserves enjoy their first home run-out of the summer when Lizard Argyle visit tonight (7pm).

“I am looking forward to playing at Penlee Park tonight as are the lads”, says joint manager Darren Smith “We have played two friendlies so far, at Helston Thirds where we drew nil nil, and against our Under-18s when we won 5-2. Having only lost once in 16 games, we know we are hard to beat. We played Lizard in the Percy Stephens Cup last season and they held us to a 1-1 draw down at their place. They are a physical team and will put a challenge in, something that we will have to adjust to this season, being a young technical team. Our opponents will see us as a team that they will look to bully, so we have to have our wits about us. However, playing at Penlee on a decent wide surface will help us to play the type of football we have been working so hard on in training. The lads are up for tonight and we hope we can make amends for our lack-lustre display at Lizard last time out.”

His managerial partner Lee Major adds: “The squad and management team are absolutely buzzing to get back out on Penlee Park this evening. We are looking at taking a strong squad and I am looking forward to seeing us put together everything we have learnt in training over the last few weeks.”

The managers have named a squad comprising of: Adrian Murley, Lewis Hitchens, Josh Reeves, Steve Miller, Matt Robinson, Tyler Dayus, Sam Payne, Chaz Harry, Tyler Smith, Kizzy Snowden, James Payne, Archie Ward, Tyler Simmonds, Josh Whitburn, Joel Steel, Freddie Neaum, and Harvey Richings.

Admission is free with gates opening at 6.30pm. Drinks and refreshments will be available from the Black & White Cafe inside the ground, and the Jewson Bar.

See you there!
