Five of the Penzance Youth teams were in action on Sunday 24th March. At Newlyn Coombe, the Under-7 Panthers played Illogan whilst the Under-11 Aliens took on Grasshoppers Youth. The Under-13 Titans went down 6-2 to Probus whilst the Under-14 Apollos were beaten 8-1 by Illogan. In away action were the Under-16 Comets who enjoyed an excellent 3-0 win over Mousehole Hawks at Marazion.
No fixtures were scheduled over the Easter Bank Holiday, and only two survived the weather last weekend, the Apollos going down 2-11 to Threemilestone and Comets succumbing to the only goal of a home game against St Day.
Five of our teams take to the field this Sunday (April 14th). The Under-9 Cosmos play Hayle and the Under-11 Aliens take on Wendron United. The Under-14 Apollos have a Cup tie away to Helston (9.30am start) whilst the table-topping Under-16 Jets travel to Wadebridge for a noon kick-off.
Finally, the Under-18s have a very tough away fixture against Truro City. That game will be played at Godolphin Way, Newquay (the ground of former Peninsula League club Godolphin Atlantic) at 2pm.
