Penzance will round off a run of four consecutive home games, from which they could emerge undefeated, when they welcome old rivals Launceston to Penlee Park this afternoon (3pm kick-off).
After the summer departure of manager Dan Hart to Western League Buckland Athletic, the Clarets are enduring a transitional season and currently prop up the table. However, with an exciting crop of young players, new boss Neil Price is overseeing improved performances, and Penzance will need to be at their best if they are to extend their own good run.
That task is made harder by the absence of striker Rolandos Samnauskas, suspended after his dismissal against Bodmin. He is replaced by brother Robertas, promoted back to the first team after scoring for the Reserves last weekend at Constantine. Also banned, due to an accumulation of five bookings, is midfielder Kam Collins. Fit again Kevin Lawrence returns, along with Jordan Daniell, whilst the rest of the Penzance squad is: Will Trenoweth, Archie Reynolds, Ryan Andrew, Liam Andrew, Mark Vercesi, Cam McCabe, Max Everard, Silas Sullivan, Tyler Tonkin, Jacob Trudgeon, Darryl Richards, Haidar Fadli and Alfie Hicks.
Price, who played for Watford in the 1984 FA Cup final, will pick his Launceston side from: Lewis Slade, Carl Aldridge, George Beardsmore, Tom Bullock, James Close, Alfie Cole, Mark Elvidge, Jake Hawson, James Hamson, Ben Harrison, Jude Jago, Tyler Jones, Matt Ottley, Marius Pislaru, Olly Small, Matt Stainer, Paul Wearing, Mark Wilson and Jaden Wood.
Admission is just £5 (£3 for concessions) and drinks and refreshments, including hot pasties (which sold out well before kick-off last Saturday), will be available from the bar (open around 12.30pm) and tea hut. Christmas Raffle tickets will be on sale at the bar, and a full printed matchday programme available for £1.50.
The weather is forecast to improve, so see you down there for what should be a great game.
A stream will be available on our Facebook page from 3pm, kindly sponsored by Antony Handyman and Ashley Waters - Painter & Decorator.
