PENZANCE LOOK TO BRIDGE THE GAP

Penzance face a massive test in their first match of the New Year when second-placed Wadebridge Town visit Penlee Park this afternoon (3pm kick-off).

The task is made even harder by the absences of regular captain Tyler Tonkin and midfielder/striker Darryl Richards. Managers John McCallum, Adrian Ferrell and Craig Nicholls have therefore named a provisional squad comprising of: Will Trenoweth, Archie Reynolds, Ryan Andrew, Liam Andrew, Mark Vercesi, Silas Sullivan, Cam McCabe, Max Everard, Kam Collins, Jacob Trudgeon, Jordan Daniell, Alfie Hicks, Kevin Lawrence, Rolandos Samnauskas, Nathaniel West, Kizzy Snowden and Robertas Samnauskas.

The high-flying Bridgers, who like their hosts can look forward to a Cornwall Senior Cup quarter-final next Wednesday (they travel to Saltash United whilst Penzance entertain Wendron United), will select from: Rob Rosevear, Sam Gerken, Cory Sargent, Tom Strike, Steve Simmonds, Kyle Flew, Matt Lloyd, Josh Fallens, Jack Bowyer, Jacob Rowe, Chris Reski, Ryan Downing, Jacob Smale, Bryn Sturdy, Ross Beare, Tom McLachlan, Tyler Cooke, Jack Carron, Aaron Dilley, Morgan Vallejo, Brad Rowe, Tom Jeal, Tom Harris

Tom Shepherd, Phil Lowry.

Admission is just £5 (£3 for concessions) and drinks and refreshments, including hot pasties, will be available from the Jewson Bar (open around 12.30pm) and tea hut.

A full printed matchday programme will be on sale in the bar from lunchtime, and at the gate and tea hut for £1.50.

Despite so much recent rain the Penlee Park pitch in excellent shape, so come on down for what should be an exciting contest.
