PENZANCE’S FESTIVE FIXTURE

Penzance will play their final home match of 2022 when the season’s surprise package, newly promoted Bude Town, visit Penlee Park this afternoon (3pm kick-off).

Darryl Richards is suspended after accumulating five bookings, but influential players captain Tyler Tonkin, Mark Vercesi, Archie Reynolds and Silas Sullivan all return after missing the last match, the narrow cup defeat at Newton Abbot Spurs a fortnight ago. Also in the squad are Will Trenoweth, Cam McCabe, Liam Andrew, Ryan Andrew, Kam Collins, Kevin Lawrence, Jordan Daniell, Max Everard, Jacob Trudgeon, Robertas Samnauskas, Rolandos Samnauskas and Nathaniel West.

Bude Town, who are flying high in fifth place in the table after promotion from the St Piran League last summer, select from a squad of Liam Hill, Tom Coles, Kyle Darragh, Liam McDonald, Wesley Pugh, Ewan Reeves, Luke Potter, Harley Westlake, Liam Sandercock, Scott Piper, Baga Markio, Harry Hopcroft, James Dart, Hamish Hudson, Muhammad Mahmoud, Billy Hopcroft, Tornado Bello, Mason Tape. Admission is just £5 (£3 for concessions) and drinks and refreshments, including hot pasties, will be available from the Jewson Bar (open around 12.30pm) and tea hut. A full printed matchday programme will be on sale in the bar from lunchtime, and at the gate and tea hut for £1.50. The Christmas draw will be made in the bar at around 6.30pm. There are forty prizes including cash prizes of £150, £50 and £25, and various meal vouchers, bottles and chocolates. A few tickets remain on sale at the bar, so get down early to grab them and stay on for the draw after the match. See you there!
