RESERVE TEAM ROUND-UP AHEAD OF TOMORROW'S TRIP TO ST DAY

With last weekend's game against Perranwell having been postponed, Joint Manager Daz Smith brings us the latest news from the Reserve team camp. Lee and I are pleased to introduce the newest member to our coaching team. Connor Thomas, who last season was awarded our Sportsman of the Season, has now joined myself and Lee to become our Matchday Assistant.

Connor’s duties will include sorting the kit, setting up our pre-match warm-up drills and other match related duties. He will also be our eyes in game, analysing the opposition’s tactics and formation in order to help us become more tactically aware.

Also, we are thrilled to announce the signing of 17 year old George Steadman. George spent his first season last year at Pendeen Rovers Reserves and has massively impressed us in pre-season fixtures and training. The young striker offers selfless running for the team whilst boasting quick feet and a natural hunger to shoot on sight. He'll certainly cause problems to any defence!

This Saturday we hit the road as we travel to St Day Thirds in the league. A couple of weeks ago we played them at Penlee and ran out comfortable winners with goals aplenty. 8-1 was the score with Kizzy grabbing a first half hat-trick. Tyler Smith, James Payne, Dylan Walter and Andy Withers also grabbed a goal each, with St Day also scoring an own goal.

With that in mind, we'll be looking to grab another three points and a fifth straight win. However, we'll need to be at our best as St Day pushed previous run-away leaders New Inn Titans hard last week, only losing 3-0.
