RESERVES CELEBRATE SUCCESSFUL SEASON

Penzance's Reserves celebrated a hugely successful season at a well-attended awards ceremony at the Jewson Bar on Saturday night. In Darren Smith and Lee Major's first season in charge, the team finished fourth in Division One of the Trelawny League and reached the semi-finals of the Percy Stephens Cup. The Magpies had the third best defensive record in all of the Trelawny divisions, and the eleventh best in Cornwall.

Kizzy Snowden (Supporters' Player of the Year and Top Scorer) and Josh Reeves (Players' and Managers' Player of the Year) scooped two awards each. Other big winners were Connor Thomas (Sportsman of the Year) and Harvey Richings (Young Player of the Year).

Emma Smith organised a raffle and auction with prizes generously donated by local businesses. This helped raise an impressive £350 that will go towards new kit.

"A top night at the club after some fantastic achievements and efforts from the players this season", summed up Darren Smith.
