Having been helping out since the summer, Ashley Waters has been confirmed as Penzance’s First Team coach.
The former Penzance youth and Cornwall representative player spent most of his career at Pendeen Rovers and attributes his coaching style to Andy Graham with whom he worked at Mousehole. Waters follows our management team of John McCallum, Adrian Ferrell and Craig Nicholls from Trungle Parc and says of his appointment: “Penzance is a big club with massive potential and it’s great to be part of the big project here.
In past years Penzance has struggled but, with a plan in place on and off the pitch, it’s a great opportunity for me. Firstly, stability on and off the field and bringing a style of play which is enjoyable to watch and effective in getting points has to be a priority for us.
Last season for myself at Mousehole, watching them train was fantastic with the brilliant Andy Graham who helped me gain experience, and his knowledge has helped me progress as a coach. I feel I’m now ready for the challenge to work with Penzance to hopefully help bring some success back to the club.”
Welcome to Penlee Park, Ashley.
