WEEKLY YOUTH ROUND-UP
It was a hectic day down Newlyn Coombe on Sunday with five of the youth teams at home, and Darren Dayus was a busy man refereeing four of those games. The Under-8 Lions played Hayle with their Player of the Match being Jesse, the Under-10 Jaguars took on Ludgvan Lions with Ethan as star man, the Under-U11s Pumas played Culdrose with Isaac nabbing the award and the Under-12 Cosmos went down 1-5 to Truro. Their Player of the Match was Rio with Luke scoring the goal.

The Under-16 Titans put in a brilliant performance to come from behind and defeat Truro 3-2 in the First Round of the Cornwall FA Luke Cup. Caleb struck a hat-trick whilst Alfie was Man of the Match against a side who had beaten them 13-0 last season.
The only team on the road were the Under-15s who made the long trip to North Cornwall to take on Padstow United in another County Cup tie. The trek was worth it with Daz Smith and Henry Ramsay’s players recording a notable 6-2 victory in another County Cup First Round tie. Marley fired a hat-trick with the other goals coming from Tamlin, Enzo and Charlie. Player of the Match was awarded to the whole squad.
This coming Sunday the Under-8 Lions take on Speak Out United at Boscawen Park in Truro whilst the Under-9 Tigers are at Troon.
The Under-10 Jaguars and Lynxes both have home games at Newlyn Coombe – against Elevate Pencoys and Helston Athletic respectively. Also at home, with a 10.30am kick-off, are the Under-11 Pumas who have Cup tie against Dobwalls.
The Under-12 Cosmos travel to Illogan RBL whilst the Under-14s have a Cup tie away to Goonhavern – 1pm at Reen Manor.
Finally, the Under-15s will be aiming to back up the weekend’s Cup success by picking up their first league points of the season when Redruth United visit Newlyn Combe for a 2.30pm kick-off.
